Unity Insurance Services is delighted to be working with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards (DofE) to provide minibus insurance for DofE Leaders, Co-ordinators, Managers and Volunteers.

If you’re borrowing or hiring a minibus, the owner’s insurance may not cover you, or the hire company’s cover could be expensive.

Our short period minibus insurance can offer a solution, which is ideal for groups hiring or borrowing a minibus either for weekend camps or on longer expeditions.

Short period minibus cover is provided on a fully comprehensive basis for a minimum of 3 days and up to 21 days. Cover can be arranged from £99 in one simple telephone call.

If your licensed organisation owns a minibus, we can arrange specialist minibus insurance on an annual basis.

Our annual minibus insurance includes the following benefits:

• Accidental damage to the vehicle;
• Windscreen cover (comprehensive only);
• Can include optional breakdown recovery provided by the AA;
• Personal Accident cover for the driver and passengers;
• New Vehicle replacement (if the minibus is less than 12 months old);
• Nationwide network of approved repairers;
• Can be covered on an "any driver" basis;
• Can include the option to loan out your minibus to other organisations;
• Driving abroad: 30 day cover available in most European countries; and
• 24 hour dedicated UK-based minibus claims team.
• Our Annual minibus can be provided on a fully comprehensive or third party fire and theft basis.
