We know only too well that claims can arise unexpectedly from many sources and can seriously disrupt your activities. You’ll want your claim dealt with quickly and we’re committed to providing advice and guidance to help you through the process.


The claims process will differ, depending on the policy you’ve bought. Many of our insurers provide direct claims handling services and details on how to make a claim and access these services can be found in your policy documentation.

Who to contact, if you need to make a claim.

If you need to report a claim you should refer to your policy document, which will have details on how to make a claim. But for ease of reference, we’ve included the main ones below.

For Scout Groups and Girlguiding Units

Property and Equipment or Marine policy

If you're insured under the Scout or Girlguiding Property and Equipment policy or Scout Marine policy, please telephone us.

  • 0345 040 7701 (during office hours 9am to 5 pm weekdays)
  • Online via the Client Portal (24 hours / 7 days a week)

Travel policy policy

If you're insured under the Scout or Girlguiding Travel policy, please contact

  • Unity: 0345 040 7701 (during office hours 9am to 5 pm weekdays)

Scout Personal Accident policy

If you would like to make a claim on under the Scout Personal Accident policy, first you'll need to log the incident online with the Scouts,  Then you'll need to complete an Incident Report Form, which you can obtain from Gilwell using the link below,

and return it to Unity.

Minibus

For minibus claims, please contact your insurer either:
