Event insurance for Girlguiding
We’re well aware that many Girlguiding events, including jamborees, fetes and family days, involve considerable financial outlay. Some of your outgoings might be recoverable if the event doesn’t go ahead, but much of it would not.
Our Guide Event Cancellation and Abandonment policy
Reimbursement for the loss of expenses resulting from the cancellation or abandonment of Girlguiding event(s). The cancellation or abandonment must be beyond your control, such as severe weather.
Expenses that can be covered include:
- Payments for publicity and advertising
- Hire of marquees and other equipment
- Purchase of perishable goods such as foodstuffs
- Venue hire
- Printing costs for tickets
Reasons for the cancellation or abandonment could be:
- Event site being unavailable
- Severe weather
- Strikes and industrial action
For Cancellation and Abandonment, the cover must be requested at least 14 days before the beginning of the event.
